~Balance~

Balance is very "key" in all of life.  It's not something that needs to be consciously achieved at ALL times but recognized as much as possible through out the days, weeks and years. Keeping this knowledge recognized on a consistency makes it easier to stay in flow with ease and grace.

In my posts I address all of the parts of our being~mind, body and energy field that surrounds the two.
The body reacts differently to both acidic and alkaline based foods and drinks to stay balanced. You may have to look up Alkaline vs Acidic. There's lots of sites that will inform you with an easy to read list. I have heard plenty of people really liking the "blood type" diet. Personally, when I  looked up the foods for my blood type while being aware of the alkaline vs acidic foods, it helped my body perform and feel great. It already had no dairy or gluten in it which I don't do well with and also it had protocols for herbs and condiments that would go well with my body as well. Having too much processed sugar, high fructose corn syrup, MSG, parabens and preservatives I believe also needs to be taken into account. See how your body does. At least trying this way for a few months can only help. If change is hard for you, do a few changes at a time. Think of how amazing you could potentially feel. No matter what, adequate water needs to be consumed on a daily...at least 50 oz and more on a work out, acitive or sweaty day
, more meaning at least 75 to 100 oz.
Now onto~ Doing vs Being. This one seems to be a bit tricky for most. There's a belief out there that is fairly strong ~ it's the more we "do" the more validation or worthy we become. However, that gets taken too far too quick.  It's not true anyway, you need time for rest and self care. This is a lovely practice of self love and appreciation. A simple 'check in' with self will do. Even a little break a few times a day for a few minutes each, will help.  One thing you could do is close your eyes, feel into your breath, touch your arms and legs gently and be present. Also will give your mind and eyes a rest from over stimulation from either the computer or other activities going on around.
One quick way to see if you are in balance is to check your breath. Is it an even flow? Are you breathing with even breath through out the day?  I loved learning this one!  If you are breathing too much out...could mean that you are giving too much either mentally, energetically or physically. Same the other way around.  Must keep the giving and receiving in check.  Another belief swimming around out there is "The more we give, the better and more humble we are" as if there is some kind of imaginary worthiness points by sacrificing. Once again, not true, not at the expense of our wholeness and self care.  It's healthy to receive just as much as it is to give. Give and receive in balance as much as possible, keep that beautiful flow of your precious life going.
Keeping the mental bodies in balance is as simple as finding time for creative activities as much or at least close to logical activities. Meaning, that yes, get the bills paid and other regular chores done but also make time for creative dancing, coloring, or whatever else you like to do to be creative and feel free.
There's plenty of energy practices that involve balancing the yin/yang or masculine/feminine. Some involve breathing techniques, kundalini yoga, other physical activities as well as chakra balancing. Every chakra has a masculine/feminine as well.  Those can be balanced through meditations you can find on youtube or other healers you may hear from others or webcasts as well as viewing colors you associate with each chakra.
